About the Hadza
The Hadza are one of the last true hunter gatherer tribes in the world.

Located in northern Tanzania, by the shore of Lake Eyasi, their lifestyle has changed little over the past 10,000 years.
The Hadza survive by hunting with hand-made bows and arrows and foraging for edible plants and honey. They are a nomadic people, with very few physical possessions, who live in harmony with their environment and with the natural rhythms of life.

Currently, their lifestyle is under threat from the encroachment of modern society and pressure for more agricultural land.

They have lost between 75 and 90 percent of their land over the past 50 years.

This exhibit provides a glimpse of the Hazda and their and the animals that share their traditional territory.

Support the children in Tanzania
We donate 20% of the proceeds from all Hadza art to the Ikirwa Primary School that empowers children to learn, explore and contribute to the world around them.
